When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you list pets, we store the information you provide about them (type, breed, age, medical/behavior notes, vet contact). If you become a Provider, we collect your business details, service area, and any credentials you choose to add. We also collect information about bookings, messages sent through the platform, and basic usage data (pages visited, device/browser type) to keep the service running and improve it.
We use your information to operate PetServ — matching Owners with nearby Providers, processing booking requests, sending account and booking-related emails, and maintaining the security of the platform. We do not sell your personal information.
A Provider's public profile (business name, bio, service area, rates, rating) is visible to anyone. Once you request or confirm a booking, the Owner and Provider involved can see the booking details needed to carry out the service (e.g. pet name and care notes, contact information relevant to the visit).
Account sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito. PetServ does not store your password — Cognito manages authentication and password resets on our behalf.
PetServ uses a small number of cookies required for the site to function: one to keep you signed in, and one to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We retain account and booking information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us.
You can update or delete your pet profiles at any time from your dashboard. To update account details, delete your account, or ask what information we hold about you, contact us using the details below.
